Scent: Tradition

A French home fragrance tradition since 1885 — Papier d'Arménie burning papers offer one of the most elegant and understated ways to scent your home. Each set includes 5 booklets of 12 fragrant paper sheets, available in your choice of three classic scents.

Tear a strip, fold accordion-style, place on a heat-safe dish, light the end, and gently blow out the flame. As the paper slowly smolders, it releases a gentle, lasting fragrance that fills the room without overwhelming it.

Choose Your Scent

Arménie — The signature scent, created by renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. Rich and mystical, with notes of incense, myrrh, vanilla, sage, lavender, and cedarwood. An oriental fragrance with deep, warm character.

Rose — A rich, full-bodied rose with fruity, jam-like softness. Romantic and enveloping.

Tradition — The original Papier d'Arménie formula. Sweet balsamic benzoin with warm vanilla undertones — the scent that started it all.

How to Use

Tear off one strip and fold accordion-style. Place on a burner or heat-safe dish and light one end, then gently blow out the flame so the paper slowly smolders — it should not burn with an open flame. Allow the fragrance to diffuse naturally through your space.

The Story of Papier d'Arménie

Inspired by a 19th-century Armenian tradition of burning benzoin resin to scent and purify the home, Auguste Ponsot brought this practice back to France and created Papier d'Arménie in 1885. Nearly 140 years later, the booklets are still made in France using the same method — a rare and genuine piece of fragrance history.
