" A true story. One day, a Middle Eastern princess passing through Paris visited the first Jovoy boutique, which at the time was a boudoir in a street perpendicular to the Rue de la Paix. She asked that a perfumer compose a fragrance for her son. What could have remained a "Private Label" became Jovoy's signature woody oriental. In mid-August, all the perfumers in Paris were on vacation; the laboratories were closed. Cécile Zarokian, who was visiting Paris herself, introduced herself to Jovoy's founder. She had only just started her own company and accepted the brief with her usual energy and talent.
