Imperial Violet is an eau de toilette created as a homage to the love that Empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III, had for her son, of which the violet was the secret symbol. The Violet enjoyed two long periods of glory during the nineteenth century, both of which were associated with the Empresses of France.
