How to Use:

Tear off one strip, fold accordion-style, place on a burner or heat-safe dish, light the end, then gently blow out the flame so the paper slowly smolders (it should not burn with an open flame).

The Story of Papier d’Arménie

Inspired by a 19th-century Armenian tradition of burning benzoin to scent and purify the home, Auguste Ponsot brought this practice to France, creating Papier d’Arménie in 1885.
