Nordtrice Candles

There is a reason Danes light more candles per person than nearly anyone else in the world. In Denmark, a candle on the table is not decoration — it is an invitation. It says slow down, stay a while, this moment is worth marking. Nordtrice was born from that philosophy.

Founded in Copenhagen in 2021 by a women-owned design studio, Nordtrice set out to reimagine the humble taper candle. Their answer to the sea of plain white dinner candles: bold color, hand-applied confetti wax, dip-dye finishes, and marbled designs that make every piece unmistakably one of a kind. No two candles leave their small-batch Copenhagen manufacture exactly alike.

Every Nordtrice candle is handcrafted in small batches at the brand's Copenhagen studio. The collections are built around color — vivid, joyful, intentional color — expressed through techniques like confetti wax embedding, dip-dyeing, and swirled marbling. The result is a candle that functions as tabletop art: beautiful unlit, luminous when burning.
