Marimekko Unikko Oiva Rectangular Dinner Plate | Black Poppy

Marimekko Unikko (poppy) was designed in 1964 after Armi Ratia, Marimekko´s founder, had announced that Marimekko would never print a flower pattern. Maija Isola refused to obey Armi´s orders and - in protest - created an entire series of floral prints. One of them was Unikko which has become a story of creativity, strength, courage and faith in oneself.

The Oiva plate is made of dishwasher, oven, microwave and freezer safe white stoneware. (Please remove the sticker from the bottom of the product before use. The sticker contains a small amount of metal.)

Made with hard, glazed porcelain. This white stoneware has a long lifespan and patterns that won't fade or wear off.
