Illustrated with pictures from Lars Jansson's comics, this black mug features Ancestor illuminated by a lantern and flipping a framed portrait. Moomin-founder Tove Jansson created the original illustration, which appears in the book "Moominland Midwinter." It was then interpreted by Tove Slotte, who beautifully took the classic from paper to porcelain.

The fascinating, mystical ancestor is small and hairy. He moves only at night, and doesn't speak at all. He lives in the moomin house salon, behind the oven. He keeps on decorating the house by turning paintings upside down.

As always, the Moomin mugs are crafted from porcelain and are microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher safe.
